The group of pharmaceutical companies Kusum, which includes the Ukrainian pharmaceutical plant Kusum Pharm, fully supports all measures taken by the government to combat the spread of coronavirus infection and has already provided assistance for 21 million in hryvnia equivalent in Ukraine, India, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova and the Philippines. All Kusum branches and offices have a strict anti-epidemic regime. The production continues to operate in order to continuously provide patients with high-quality, safe and efficient medicines, despite the fact that most of the company’s team has switched to a remote mode of operation.

Realizing the high degree of responsibility, the company decided to launch a social project and provide charitable assistance in the form of free donation of medicines for a total amount of about UAH 3 million (in retail prices), which may be needed in the treatment of bacterial complications of coronavirus infection, and these are azithromycin, levofloxacin, linezolid preparations, as well as antihistamines and drugs for the symptomatic treatment of influenza and ARVI. Also, in the coming days, 8,000 doctors will be provided with personal protective kits.

This important social initiative was supported by employees of companies in all countries where Kusum operates, donating their one-day salaries to charities to fight the coronavirus.

In modern conditions, the role of doctors and pharmacists in society is becoming dominant, and these specialists are now at the forefront in the fight against infection and take the first blow. “Angels live among us” – it was this slogan that formed the basis of the creative video, where the main characters – a doctor and a pharmacist – gave practical and understandable recommendations for viewers on how to behave during a pandemic.
